DS Security Solutions Ltd is the proud designer and manufacturer of the DefendaStrip range of brilliantly versatile visual and physical deterrents to intruders and trespassers.
Our team brings over 40 years of experience working in both the private, public and utilities sector and has extensive expertise in advising clients on effective anti-climb measures.
Our idea for the innovative design for our first product, the Flex, came about when we identified a need for a versatile trespasser deterrent whilst specifying Access Prevention Measures for a major national utility client.

A utility client was looking for a deterrent that was versatile enough to bend around their pipe crossings, and that would provide a safer and more cost-effective alternative to dangerous and expensive metal products on the market. We designed the Flex, a lightweight, flexible, easy to fit Polypropylene strip featuring cones of alternating heights to be both visually and physically effective. It has proven to be a popular choice for our clients, contractors and specifiers.
We have expanded our range to include the Rise which combines the original Flex strips with a revolutionary ‘tray’ system, allowing the defensive cones to create a higher, more prominent profile – perfect for a more obvious perimeter protection method. The Spin, our 360 degree rotating solution, is due out in Spring 2026.
We are very proud to have designed a range of products that minimise the risk of personal injury for trespassers, and give our clients even more flexibility.
The team has been steadily growing in recent years. Our premises are based in the south of England with our manufacturing plant in Yorkshire. DefendaStrip takes us all over the country working across multiple sectors. We are also exporting to many European countries with growing interest internationally.
